Mr. Ray Seipel, Certified Medical Assistant

 Mr. Ray Seipel spent two years working as a fire fighter with the California Department of Forestry before pursuing a career as a medical assistant. He has been a medical assistant and radiology technician since 1994, and worked two years in an urgent care clinic and six years supervising a family practice clinic before coming to work as Dr. Kochan’s medical assistant. Mr. Seipel’s professional experience in both conventional medicine and holistic healing, are a perfect fit with Dr. Kochan’s clinical practice and the Institute for Healing Arts Research.

Building on his professional training in Integrative Medicine, Mr. Seipel has received advanced training in Metabolic Typing from Dr. Harold Kristal, the modern day “Father of Metabolic Nutrition.” Mr. Seipel administers the Metabolic Typing testing and along with Dr. Kochan determines the appropriate diet and supplements for maintaining optimal health. He is also knowledgeable in the applications of Apitherapy having received a Certificate of Knowledge from the American Apitherapy Society and under Dr. Kochan’s guidance administers most of the bee venom therapy done at the Center. Mr. Seipel assists Dr. Kochan with his Prolotherapy and other injection procedures. He is also a skillful phlebotomist and administers IV the Meyer’s Cocktail, a vitamin and mineral protocol. He also administers the very successful Stop Smoking Now! Program.

Ray has spent the last ten years volunteering his time for an adventure company in the Sequoia National Forest as a white water rafting guide, mountain bike guide and facilitator of team building programs, in addition to volunteering for various events for the Chatsworth equestrian community. He is an avid and skilled mountain biker and is instructing Dr. Kochan in biking techniques.
